Custom Design ~ New Construction ~ Remodeling ~ Additions
Building a house was a huge decision. We met our Custom Designer, Zach, when attending a parade of homes. He was the only builder we met who took the time to talk to us and acted interested at all. We have had pretty much unfettered access daily to our Construction Coordinator, Joe. We are really proud of our new PortSide home and just as proud to tell others that PortSide built it.
PortSide’s staff was very professional and kept us well informed. Our home is of the utmost quality and the finished product more than exceeded our expectations. We have built two other homes in the course of our lives, and because of the exceptional experience throughout every step of the process, we rate PortSide the gold standard.
We are extremely satisfied with PortSide Builders. A team with integrity, honesty, and quality workmanship. We would highly recommend them for anyone’s remodeling needs. We love our remodeled home! Thank you PortSide.
PortSide Builders has been more than just a construction company for us. They made us feel like family. PortSide was with us every step of the way. From home design, to lot purchase, referring us to a loan officer, answering questions, and making our dream home a reality. We definitely made a connection with our Home Designer, Zach Juadis, and feel we have made a friend for life. Thank you for helping us every step of the way to build our dream home!
As homeowners who have built a house in the past, we can attest to the fact that PortSide is best in class in all areas as a builder. They were extremely responsive, went out of their way to provide solutions, and kept everything on schedule. They provide a full service, from top to bottom, with the highest levels of quality and satisfaction. We would absolutely give PortSide and the people who work there a 5-stair rating. They literally handled everything from start to finish to our immense pleasure and satisfaction.
We had been planning to remodel the main floor of our home for quite a while. Our Custom Designer, Joe Englebert, worked patiently with us until we arrived at a design that we could get really excited about. Then our Construction Coordinator, Joe Huempfner, and the construction crew came in and got the job done. PortSide’s workers were very polite, hardworking and talented, and they cleaned up at the end of each day. We couldn’t be happier with the whole experience, and the overall results are amazing!
PortSide has built three homes for us. We have always been more than pleased with all aspects of construction, and workmanship! It has been our experience, that they are more than fair, helpful, and accommodating in every way. We would strongly recommend them as builders for anyone who is thinking of building or remodeling!
It has been a real pleasure working with all those involved in all of the three projects that PortSide has constructed for me over the past years. I have found that PortSide’s craftsmanship has been as good as any of the work that I have seen in my 55 years of construction.
PortSide Builders made our dream come true. From design through construction, they listened to our ideas, offered helpful suggestions, and delivered a house built with superb craftsmanship that met or exceeded our expectations. PortSide was wonderful to work with and we would not hesitate to recommend them.
Words cannot adequately describe our pleasure working with PortSide Builders on the project of our new home. From our initial meeting with Alan Shefchik, our Custom Designer, we knew we had made the right decision. Alan was great to work with in laying out the plans and, because of his building expertise, was able to add suggestions each step of the way. It has been our pleasure and we highly recommend PortSide for all your building needs.
I would like to compliment PortSide for such great customer service before, during, and after the design and building of our new home. Many of the homes built by PortSide are large and expensive but ours was more modest. Despite this, PortSide has treated us like valuable customers. I continue to recommend your company to everyone I know!

“We knew building a new house was a big project. Thanks to the professionals at PortSide, we now have our forever home! Our Custom Designer worked with us to design everything we need now and in the future. Our Construction Coordinator was patient but kept us on schedule when we needed it. They worked well together and with all the subcontractors. Thanks for our first, forever home!”
“PortSide Builders did an excellent job rebuilding and expanding my deck. They managed a myriad of critical details while completing my project, including checking setback requirements, offering material and design options, and communicating with me regularly as critical steps of the project were being completed. My new deck is more beautiful than I ever could have imagined it would be.”
From our first consultation and throughout the entire remodel of our lake house, PortSide Builders was a trusted partner. Their professionalism, knowledge, experience and attention to detail resulted in a top quality finished product. The entire staff at PortSide really care about their customers and projects. We are extremely pleased with our newly remodeled home and highly recommend PortSide Builders.
From our initial contact to signing the final papers, we enjoyed wonderful working relationships. Thank you for operating a business that employs staff of such character and quality. We are proud to tell others that we have a PortSide home.

I want to thank the PortSide team for completing our large, 1,000+ Sq/Ft remodel. It has exceeded our wildest expectations. This was a large undertaking touching many aspects of our home and it was completed with attention to detail and with understanding to our families schedules and routines during construction. From the time of consultation and estimation, through execution and completion, you were on time and on budget. Our family can’t say enough about the additional usable space. We have hosted many more get togethers than we could have before the remodel, and look forward to the new memories we will create in the new space for years to come. Thank you so much.
We are very happy with the results of the remodel and the addition of a sunroom and master bedroom suite that PortSide Builders planned and completed for us. Not only were the PortSide employees and subcontractors professional throughout the design and construction process, they were also kind, understanding and helpful. The craftsmanship of the finished project is excellent. We would recommend PortSide to anyone with a building or remodeling project.
We entered this project a little timid and unsure if building a home was right for us. Zach Juadis helped us take some ideas and turned them into a house we love. We relied on him and everyone at PortSide for their guidance and knowledge in the choices we made. A special “thank you” to every PortSide employee and sub-contractor we met on site. Everyone we talked with was friendly, knowledgeable, and certainly hard working. They took pride in what they were doing and helped us understand their process and answered any questions we had. We love it! Thank You!
