PortSide was the perfect builder for us.  I recognized them from years of seeing their name about the Peninsula but I wondered if PortSide was too big of a company to want to bother with single home construction without a splashy budget.  I was dead wrong.  Not only did Alan Shefchik at PortSide welcome us warmly each time we met, but he guided us with expert advice, spelled out the costs to stay on budget and kept any fears and concerns in check.  PortSide’s showroom clinched it.  I am a visual person and it was extremely beneficial to see examples and feel and touch products.  Every single person that worked on building our house was professional, friendly and excellent at their job.  Mark Shefchik, our site manager, always kept us up to date and informed.  His listening skills are remarkable as he followed any requests we asked of PortSide.  Dawn Shefchik was invaluable turning our house into a home.  We could not have made all the decisions flow without her expertise.  Colors, finish, style, scale – – – it can all make your head spin.  Dawn helped us pull it all together to create a place to love.  And love it we do.  Thanks PortSide.

I want to thank the PortSide team for completing our large, 1,000+ Sq/Ft remodel.  It has exceeded our wildest expectations.  This was a large undertaking touching many aspects of our home and it was completed with attention to detail and with understanding to our families schedules and routines during construction.  From the time of consultation and estimation, through execution and completion, you were on time and on budget.  Our family can’t say enough about the additional usable space. We have hosted many more get togethers than we could have before the remodel, and look forward to the new memories we will create in the new space for years to come. Thank you so much.

We have enjoyed the fine work of PortSide Builders since 1996.  As our family has grown (now six grandchildren), we have returned to PortSide to add an extra bedroom and make updates to our bedroom/bathroom suite.  You can see from the photos the beautiful work they continue to do.  I am pleased to recommend PortSide Builders.

Honoring the land passed down through the generations, was the challenge we brought to PortSide Builders.  Our former campsite was transformed into a safe, accessible, low maintenance home by their capable employees.  Everyone was friendly, patient, detail-oriented, and willing to answer questions.  We’re enjoying our home with the peace of mind that comes from knowing it was built the right way by PortSide Builders.

PortSide Builders did an excellent job for us.  Our entire remodel was done while we were out of state so we had to put our complete trust in our builder and depend on their expertise.  We wanted a completely updated home so there was an enormous amount of detail to be addressed.  Everything from design to the implementation was exceptional.  The biggest surprise was that the project was on schedule throughout and we were able to move in on the date we were given at the beginning of construction which is unheard of!  We are thrilled with the final outcome.

We had worked with PortSide on past projects and were pleased to work with them again for our sunroom addition.  We were not disappointed!  Everyone we worked with including office staff, project planners/managers, crew, and subcontractors did an excellent job.  We have found those associated with PortSide take pride in doing quality work.  The project moved along according to the timeline we received and we are very pleased with the craftsmanship.  Our project manager was a great communicator so we always knew what to expect and when.  Overall, we had a great experience.  We love our sunroom and if we had another project we would look to PortSide first.

To us, PortSide means trust, integrity, and commitment.  As residents of Florida, we are unable to be onsite very often.  However, knowing that Joel Daoust is our project coordinator, has given us a high level of comfort during this process.  Our every request has been met with a smile. Couldn’t be happier with the beautiful home PortSide constructed.  From design to the finished product, PortSide was easy (even fun) to work with.  They used great creativity in helping us turn our vision into reality — while staying within budget.  PortSide guided us through everything from how to position the home in order to maximize sunsets, to the use of materials that would minimize maintenance.  Our wonderful project manager, Jim, kept everything on schedule and was extremely responsive to any questions we had.  He had a keen grasp of what we wanted, and he delivered beautifully.  We are thoroughly enjoying our new home, and are extremely happy that we chose PortSide.

PortSide was great to work with from the initial visit through the completion of the project.  They helped us to see the big picture of the renovation and presented design details that really finished off our kitchen.  These details made the new renovation flow nicely into our house and make it fell like the new kitchen was always here.
