PortSide Builders is honored to receive the Wisconsin Builders Association (WBA) Badger Craftsman Award, in New Home Design and Construction, in the $500,000 - $750,000 category for the second year in a row.

The Wisconsin Builders Association (WBA) named winners of Badger Craftsman Awards including best new single-family homes, best single-family development, and best remodeling projects. 

In its third year, the Badger Craftsman Award program is facilitated by the group. Members of the association across Wisconsin are invited to submit their projects in a wide range of categories which are then voted on by members and the public. Over 4,400 votes were cast during the one-month voting period. 

“These awards showcase the innovation, design, craftsmanship and cutting-edge technologies in the homebuilding industry,” said WBA Director of Communications, Alicia Naleid. “We are proud of our members and their commitment to providing safe and accessible housing across Wisconsin.” 

About This Award-Winning Home: 

A 2,701 sq. ft. two-story modern Craftsman-style home with stunning classic details. It has four bedrooms, three bathrooms, a study, and a 457 sq. ft. covered back porch with a custom-built swing. 

The owners approached PortSide Builders with the initial design idea but had concerns about the challenges of their scenic yet sandy, rugged lot of cedar and evergreen trees. With Portside's extensive knowledge and experience in building homes to fit unique lots, their custom home designer was able to incorporate their ideas into a plan that works beautifully with the lot's natural characteristics. The layout, design, and custom details all come together to create a beautiful, timeless, and highly functional home. 

This award-winning home showcases why PortSide Builders continues to be Northeast Wisconsin's leader in lake and country home design and construction. The official announcement was made on June 19th at the WBA Celebration of Housing event at the Hotel Mead & Conference Center in Wisconsin Rapids. Peter Kerwin, Controller, attended the event to receive the award on behalf of PortSide Builders.
