PortSide Builders is proud to feature the "PortSide Family Christmas Tree" in the 2018 "Merry-Time Festival of Trees" sponsored by the Door County Maritime Museum, in Sturgeon Bay.  Our tree is meant to highlight the "family" relationship between PortSide's owners/employees, our customers, and our trade partners.  At the same time, we take this opportunity to honor PortSide family member, Joe Porten, our co-worker and friend, who we lost this summer to cancer.

The PortSide Family Christmas Tree

We think Joe would have loved this simple, unique, yet elegant tree, made with re-purposed wood, and decorated with ornaments hand-made by PortSide employees, as well as gift certificates for local restaurants and stores, donated by our trade partners and sub-contractors in Joe's memory.  The tree was recently highlighted in a WFRV-TV, Local 5 Live segment, promoting the Maritime Museum's event, where PortSide President, Paul Shefchik, explained the story of our tree.  To see the Local 5 Live segment click here.

All 28 trees displayed in the festival will be given away through a raffle drawing, along with live and silent auctions featuring interesting and valuable Door County themed items, at the "Jingle, Jingle, Mix and Mingle" event on December 11th.  For all the details on the "Merry-Time Festival of Trees", visit the Maritime Museum's website here.
