Home Selection Designer/Coordinator
PortSide Builders has an immediate opening for a full-time, experienced Home Selections Coordinator. The Role:
As the Home Selections Coordinator, you will ensure a high degree of customer satisfaction by guiding clients through the selection process for both new construction and remodeling projects. You will curate and get approval for exterior finishes and interior materials—including siding, windows, flooring, cabinetry, lighting, countertops, and more —while ensuring the final design aligns with the client’s vision and remains within budget.
Specific duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Meeting with new clients to understand their vision, goals, and overall aesthetics
- Material Selection & Sourcing: Choose and finalize fixtures, finishes, and hardware (flooring, paint, cabinets, countertops, lighting, plumbing).
- Coordinate and attend meetings with vendors such as flooring, cabinetry, countertops, lighting and more to help guide clients through this process.
- Create, record and maintain selections schedules and specification sheets
- Ensure selections align with budget and design intent
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure timely procurement and installation
- Collaborate with Estimators
- Maintain organized records of selections approvals and price and approve all change orders
- Create visual presentations as needed
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have 2–3 years of experience in home selections, interior design, or home furnishings and design showroom or similar. We are looking for a professional who possesses:
- Exceptional customer service and relationship management skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Excellent time management and the ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Some familiarity with blueprints
Note: Specific on-the-job training for our processes will be provided.
Starting Salary Range at $60,000, based on experience, plus quarterly gain share bonuses.
